If you haven’t been to the new mega multi use complex on 5th+Broadway, let’s give you another reason to visit. Plano, Texas born Sixty Vines, the sustainability centric wine bar and pizza spot that’s earned a dedicated following since 2016 has added their fifth location here in Nashville on the third floor of the mixed use Fifth+Broadway development planted on top of the Assembly Food Hall. The 16,000 square foot setup sports scenic views of Broadway and the Ryman Auditorium.
At 100,000 square feet, downtown’s game changing Assembly Food Hall that started to come to life back in March is the largest in the country with over thirty eateries, nine bars, a speakeasy, with multiple music stages, and a large outdoor stage on the rooftop for live concert events.
The sleek spacious clean bar up top will feature 60 different wines on tap poured from kegs, promising a taste as close as you can get to drinking it straight from the wine barrel. This ensures freshness and provides higher end wines at a more approachable price that otherwise fans and guests could not experience. It is also cost effective and minimizes wine that goes bad. It’s a win-win situation. Guests at Sixty Vines can experience the wines by the flight, glass, or reusable bottle from a list that shows lots of love for grape varietals from California and Europe. Cocktails and local beers on tap will also be offered.
The food menu featured a variety of options that were meant to be enjoyed with wine. Food options like hummus, wood grilled shrimp, bacon wrapped dates accompany a variety of Charcuterie and cheese board options. There’s also salads, pastas, and rotating mains like Atlantic Salmon, rainbow trout, and also a huge dedicated pizza oven prominently displayed.
Sixty Vines features a wine garden like greenhouse patio, a private dining space above all the action with a beautiful panoramic bird’s eye view of the main restaurant floor, and a huge full bar that wraps against one of the main walls that also opens up and allows outdoor bar access on the other side of the wall when the weather permits.
Speaking of eco-friendly and sustainability, each reusable keg contains about 26 bottles of wine and holds over 1,500 bottles over its lifespan. Along with having a longer shelf life and temperature appropriate pours, each keg will save more than 50,000 bottles and corks from landfills in its first year in Nashville.
